Recent studies report over 70% of foodservice cases have GS1 product identification and bar codes; manufacturers, distributors, and operators are using the GS1 System to be more efficient. A GS1 US led Foodservice eCommerce Task Group is preparing XML based eCommerce standards in order to make business to business communications even more efficient.
